What are homophones?
Homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings. Sometimes homophones have the same spelling. E.g. right (the opposite of wrong) and right (the opposite of left). Sometimes homophones have different spellings. E.g. flour (ground grain) and flower (the seed-bearing part of a plant). |
