Elaborations
- identifying the shape and relative position of each face of a solid to determine the net of the solid, including that of prisms and pyramids.
- representing two-dimensional shapes such as photographs, sketches and images created by digital technologies.
Challenge
3D Information Challenge:
What 3D shapes can you construct if:
a) you only use 2D shapes that have an even amount of sides e.g. 4, 6 etc.
b) you only use 2d shapes that have an odd amount of sides e.g. 3, 5 etc.
c) the number of faces is a multiple of 2
d) the number of vertices is an odd number
e) the number of edges is an even number
(Vertex: corner)
